Introducing XO Flo Mini
When you throw something away, where exactly is "away"? Tracy and Meagan here at GladRags know the answer to that question: there is no "away". Every tampon applicator that has ever been used still exists! But there is an easy solution: reusable menstrual products.
Menstrual cups, unlike tampons, collect the flow instead of absorbing it. They’re a healthy, sustainable option for bodies, budgets, and the planet. Since the early 1900's, menstrual cups have followed essentially the same design, and have been slow to gain traction among the menstruating community. But they’re rapidly gaining the upper hand over disposables as people realize the many benefits of making the switch, including cost savings (one menstrual cup can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time and won’t need to be replaced for about 10 years), waste reduction, and a more comfortable period.
Using our 23+ years of industry experience and consumer research, GladRags introduced our thoughtfully-designed menstrual cup, XO Flo, in January 2017. XO Flo appeals to longtime cup users as well as people who are new to reusable menstrual products due its capacity, ease of use, and comfortable design.

XO Flo is designed to fit most bodies, but there is a need to offer a menstrual cup that includes all the benefits of XO Flo that works well for smaller bodies. Which is why Tracy and Meagan have now designed XO Flo Mini!
XO Flo Mini is a perfect fit for young people or teens, those with a light flow, and those with a low cervix or sensitive bladder. Despite its small size, the XO Flo Mini has approximately double the capacity of a tampon and can be worn for up to 12 hours at a time. Made with medical grade silicone, XO Flo and XO Flo Mini won't over-absorb or over-dry like a tampon can, and won't leave fibers behind in the vaginal canal. XO Flo may be used for up to 10 years with proper usage and care.
Due to the precise technical requirements of XO Flo Mini, and in working with a family owned manufacturer in California, the production costs to produce XO Flo Mini are high. In order for XO Flo Mini to make it to production, GladRags must raise $28,000. This week, we launched a Kickstarter to crowdsource that critical funding.
Backer rewards include GladRags products (including XO Flo or XO Flo Mini at a discounted price), as well as an integrated buy one/gift one reward: For every XO Flo pre-ordered through this Kickstarter, we’ll send one XO Flo to the youth-led nonprofit, Period: the Menstrual Movement, to be gifted to a menstruator in need, at zero cost to them.
