2018 Benefit Report

GladRags is proud to be a certified B Corporation, which means doing all we can to use business as a force for good. We create reusable products to help people reduce our impact on the planet, and integrate our commitment to environmental and social justice into every aspect of how we do business. This holistic approach to doing business is why we chose to become one of the first businesses in Oregon to become a certified legal Benefit Corporation. And each year, we review the work we’ve done in an annual Benefit Report.

GladRags 2018 Benefit Report

In July 2018, GladRags celebrated 25 years of positively transforming the experience of menstruation through reusable menstrual products and relevant education.

Following our successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017, we launched the XO Flo Mini in the fall of 2018 and completed our donation of 700 menstrual cups to individuals in need.

Our small-but-mighty team spent Earth Day volunteering to beautify and maintain the grounds at nearby Laurelhurst Park.

Notable partnerships in 2018 include working with the PDX Cloth Diaper Bank to provide free products and education to low-income families and hosting an intern for 150 hours of paid work experience through the SummerWorks program.

We diverted approximately 1,350 pounds of scrap fabric from the landfill in 2018! In addition to making and donating 12 pet beds to a local animal shelter, we distributed free fabric pieces to local weavers, quilters, and crafters of all kinds.
