Sponsoring Period Supplies For BIPOC and Low-Income Youth

PERIOD SUPPLIES FOR BACK TO SCHOOL

This August GladRags pledges 1% of all our online sales to provide BIPOC and low-income students with reusable period products through Equitable Giving Circle*. Period products (cloth pads, menstrual cups, and educational resources) will be distributed along with essential school supplies at a local Portland back to school event in early September.

We’ve also added an option to our online shop where people can contribute a one-time $20 donation that will go directly to funding reusable period supplies for a student in need. Sponsor Period Supplies here.

CREATING RIPPLES OF REAL CHANGE

Equitable Giving Circle is a community of people who have committed to community giving through small donations, event fundraising, volunteering, and community-building. Their aim is to empower BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities in Portland by leveraging economic deposits from communities of privilege to empower BIPOC communities and begin to move towards economic equity. Shifting economic power will create ripples of real change.
