Period Kits for Native Students

Fighting Period Poverty

The Kwek Society is a volunteer-run non-profit focused on supplying Native students and communities the period products they need to maintain their dignity and celebrate their strength and their moon times. They collaborate with schools and Native programs across North America, in rural areas, suburbs and cities, to eliminate period poverty among Native Americans.

This Can Help …

GladRags wants to help The Kwek Society by providing reusable period products to students who need them. This month, people can Sponsor Period Supplies — which provides someone with 3 Cloth Pads and a Carry Bag — and all sponsored period kits will be distributed via The Kwek Society.

Other Ways to Help

No one should miss school due to lack of period supplies. In addition to sponsored period kits via GladRags, there are other ways to support The Kwek Society, including monthly sponsorships. As we head into the season of giving and gifting, consider this: a monthly sponsorship provides immediate period care for a Native student and helps The Kwek Society do more to eliminate period poverty, keeping students in school and empowering individuals in the indigenous community toward a bright future.
